Apparently, in the notes, the installer I'm going for says it isn't compatible with Windows XP. I'm stuck on the Universal USB Installer now, though. ISO to my hard drive, cleared up a decent sized USB stick and read through the installation instructions at the following location: I intend to try Linux Puppy (Latest Release) using the USB boot method, primarily to surf the 'net with less risk of viruses and to get a feel for using Linux.
